I’ve been connected to the Defence Industry and Events Industry since 2005 – and have grown passionate about both ever since. As a graduate of English Literature this came as a surprise to me! This background undoubtedly has led to strong communication skills, a sharp eye for copy detail, and a love for the employment of language to empower. 
 

Working for RIAT as their Protocol Manager and Corporate Account Manager formed a bedrock of understanding military principles and practices, the Defence and Aerospace Industry, and an insight to the running and organisation of large scale events.
I happily return to RIAT each year in a volunteer role as Guest Management Group Manager.

From RIAT, I joined Clarion Events in 2008 to work on ITEC and UDT. Primarily focussing on sales and growing into supporting conference content and military engagement this role resulted in a firm interest and passion for the military training and simulation sector.

In 2015 I joined Ruddy Nice as a Director. I focussed on enabling companies in the Military Training and Simulation sector to increase their marketing activities, hone their brands, upscale their PR and broaden their reach via social media. During this time I also had the great pleasure of supporting RAFCTE with the RAF 100 Sponsorship campaign, which entailed securing and coordinating sponsors for a national charitable campaign with many moving parts. Throughout the 5 years there I project managed participation at a range of events for clients; building small and large scale exhibition stands at ITEC, I/ITSEC and DSEI or running the invitation process and VIP liaison for clients at events such as RIAT.  

This 15 years experience and journey led to the move in 2020 to set up Lockett Solutions.
